Impact Awards 2022

We are delighted to announce the 2022 LAW Week Impact Awards.

The Learning at Work Week Impact Awards celebrate bold, creative, and impactful campaigns by employers from across the UK, which champion and drive lifelong learning at work and development opportunities for employees.

The five categories of awards in 2022 recognise different aspects of learning at work. Successful organisations had to demonstrate how their Learning at Work Week campaigns inspired a lifelong learning culture, supported business and organisational goals, powered internal mobility, innovated in learning and development, and promoted wellbeing.

Commenting on the 2022 Impact Awards, Julia Wright, National Director at the Campaign for Learning, said:

“As this year’s Learning at Work Week events show, organisations are using lifelong learning to positively drive change, and respond to changes which we are seeing as a result of economic, technological and work-life shifts. The impact award winners demonstrate the power of learning in all its forms. They’ve shown how well-designed events and activities help organisations and people to adapt, progress and thrive.

“Their inspiring events addressed both immediate and longer-term learning needs, brought colleagues together to connect and learn, and supported wellbeing. Huge congratulations to all of them for their deserved success. A big thank you as well to everyone who took part in Learning at Work Week and entered the awards, and to our awards sponsors getAbstract, Coursera, SFJ Awards, Findcourses, and The Open University Business School.”

Candace Miller, Managing Director, SFJ Awards said:

“As this year’s highly impressive entries show, well-planned learning at work activities can play a significant role in supporting and promoting wellbeing. Many congratulations to our winners Channel 4, OSB Group and Wakefield Council and our highly commended organisation Swansea Bay University Health Board. Their pro-active approaches included creating supportive and inclusive environments in which colleagues could come together to discuss mental health and wellbeing without stigma; to providing practical, innovative and engaging activities which promoted understanding, skills and positive habits for healthy living. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements.”

The getAbstract team, Switzerland HQ said:

“It was an absolute honour to judge the 2022 Learning At Work Week award for ‘Inspiring Life Long Learning’. We were surprised and delighted by the volume and quality of entries. So much so, we decided to recruit a team of internal experts to carry out the judgement process, followed by a decision panel. The commitment, passion, creativity and innovative ideas implemented were fantastic. Well done to all participants and a huge congratulations to the winners and commended entries - Verastar, EY, Polygon Group and Direct Line Group - who managed to stand out amongst such high calibre entries, the best we have ever seen”.

Rama Eriksson at findcourses.co.uk said:

"We were, frankly, gobsmacked by the level and quality of creative and innovative approaches shown this year from all entries. So much so that we shared some of the ideas with our own HR team! It was very clear that inclusion and actionability was high on planners’ lists in terms of outcomes. Whether virtual or localised, recordings or roadshows, smartphone apps or dedicated workstations, thoughtful efforts were made to reach all learners within the organisation wherever they might be.  Congratulations to our winner Verastar, and our highly commended and commended entrants, NATS and Hywel Dda University Health Board!"
